PENINGKATAN PEMBERIAN AIR SUSU IBU (ASI)

PEKERJA WANITA

Pusat Kesehatan Kerja Depkes RI

Mengingat pentingnya pemberian ASI bagi tumbuh kembang yang optimal baik fisik maupun mental dan kecerdasannya, maka perlu perhatian agar dapat terlaksana dengan benar. Faktor keberhasilan dalam menyusui adalah dengan menyusui secara dini dengan posisi yang benar ,teratur dan eksklusif. Oleh karena itu salah satu yang perlu mendapat perhatian adalah bagaimana ibu yang bekerja dapat tetap memberikan ASI kepada bayinya secara eksklusif sampai 6 (enam) bulan dan dapat dilanjutkan sampai anak berumur 2(dua) tahun. Sehubungan dengan hal tersebut telah ditetapkan dengan Kepmenkes RI No.450/MENKES/IV/2004 tentang Pemberian Air Susu Ibu (ASI) secara eksklusif pada bayi Indonesia. Program Peningkatan Pemberian ASI (PP-ASI) khususnya ASI eksklusif mempunyai dampak yang luas terhadap status gizi ibu dan bayi.

Tujuan Pemberian Air Susu Ibu (ASI) secara eksklusif pada bayi :

Tujuan Umum

Terpeliharanya dan meningkatnya derajat kesehatan masyarakat pekerja khususnya pekerja wanita dan bayinya.

Tujuan khusus

1. Meningkatnya kesadaran masyarakat pekerja bahwa ASI mengandung

zat gizi yang paling sempurna baik jumlah dan kualitas serta mencukupi

kebutuhan gizi bayi.

2. Terlaksananya kegiatan program ASI eksklusif bagi pekerja wanita.

3. Meningkatnya produktivitas kerja dan kepuasan kerja.

4. Berkurangnya kerugian perusahaan akibat cuti sakit, absen akibat anak

sakit dan biaya pengobatan/ pemeliharaan kesehatan ibu dan anak.

KEBIJAKAN DAN STRATEGI DEPKES TENTANG PENINGKATAN

PEMBERIAN ASI PEKERJA WANITA

A. KEBIJAKAN

1. Peningkatan Pemberian ASI dilaksanakan sebagai upaya peningkatan

kualitas SDM yang merupakan bagian integral dari pembangunan Nasional,

khususnya dalam peningkatan kualitas hidup.

2. Peningkatan Pemberian ASI (PP-ASI) dilaksanakan secara lintas sektor

dan terpadu dengan melibatkan Peran Serta Masyarakat khususnya

masyarakat pekerja.

3. PP-ASI menitikberatkan pada pemberdayaan masyarakat dan keluarga

untuk mendukung ibu hamil dan ibu menyusui dalam melaksanakan tugas

sesuai kodratnya.

4. Membudayakan perilaku menyusui secara eksklusif kepada bayi sampai

dengan usia 6 bulan.

5. PP-ASI dilaksanakan secara bertahap dan berkesinambungan di setiap

tempat kerja.

B. STRATEGI

1.  Meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kesadaran pihak manajemen untuk

mening-katkan status kesehatan ibu pekerja dan bayinya.

2. Memantapkan tanggung jawab dan kerjasama dengan berbagai instansi

pemerintah yang terkait , asosiasi pengusaha, serikat pekerja, LSM dalam

program pemberian ASI di tempat kerja dan meningkatkan produktivitas

kerja

3. Mengupayakan agar setiap petugas dan sarana pelayanan kesehatan di

tempat kerja mendukung perilaku menyusui yang optimal melalui

penerapan 10 Langkah Menuju Keberhasilan Menyusui yang merupakan

standar interna-sional.

4. Mengupayakan fasilitas yang mendukung PP-ASI bagi ibu yang menyusui

di tempat kerja dengan :

- Menyediakan perlengkapan untuk memerah dan menyimpan ASI.

- Menyediakan materi penyuluhan ASI

- Memberikan penyuluhan.

V. LANGKAH-LANGKAH KEGIATAN

1. Mengembangkan KIE

Meningkatkan penyuluhan dan promosi dengan mengembangkan KIE yangspesifik melalui metode dan media yang sesuai dengan sasaran, antara lain : seminar/lokakarya,  pelatihan, kampanye, siaran melalui media elektronik, media cetak, dll.

2. Menggerakkan pengusaha

Advokasi dan sosialisasi kepada dunia usaha agar memberikan dukungan kepada pekerja wanita yang menyusui bayinya dengan memberikan izin untuk memerah susunya serta menyediakan ruang khusus untuk memeras ASI yang dilengkapi dengan tempat penyimpanan ASI sementara (ASI dalam lemari es dapat bertahan selama 2 x 24 jam, sedangkan diluar lemari es bertahan sampai 6-8 jam).

3. Meningkatkan keterpaduan, koordinasi dan integrasi

Koordinasi dilakukan secara lintas sektoral melalui kegiatan dalam tim baik di tingkat Pusat, Propinsi, Kabupaten/Kota

4. Mengembangkan dan membina Tempat Penitipan Anak (TPA).

5. Memantapkan Pemantauan dan Evaluasi

Diperlukan system pencatatan dan pelaporan secara berkala untuk menilai keberhasilan program ASI eksklusif bagi pekerja wanita baik dari segi pelaksanaan maupun dampaknya pada peningkatan produktivitas kerja, peningkatan status kesehatan dan gizi ibu maupun bayinya.
